A signature activity and popular evening ritual, roasting Arizona s'mores over an open fire pit creates a fun and memorable experience for guests of all ages. $5 unlimited s'mores per person or complimentary if paying resort services charge.
"Star-Spangled Sundown" PaintScaping Show
In the evenings from May 23 – July 5, 2014, Resort guests and locals alike can enjoy The Westin Kierland's newest tradition, PaintScaping, in which themed 3D images and animations are projected across the Resort’s 11-story main building and set to music. The art of "PaintScaping," derived from painting the landscape, merges a virtual world with the existing world by projecting 3-dimensional digital mapping onto buildings that act as the canvas for characters, colors, and objects as living and moving parts of the façade. This summer the PaintScaping show, titled "Star-Spangled Sundown" will feature all-American imagery paired with patriotic music. Held at 8 p.m., 8:30 p.m., 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. nightly, the Star-Spangled Sundown PaintScaping show is free and open to the public.
