Resort Activities

• Kierland Mining Co.-Through the Family Experience Program, a special check in area is set up just for children and family alike called the “Kierland Mining Co.” There they receive a passport called
“The Compass: A Trailblazer’s Guide to The Westin Kierland” containing a scavenger hunt that assists them and their families in discovering the property.

• Adventure Water Park– 9,000 square-feet of water fun including a 900-foot lazy river ride and a 110-foot-long waterslide. Next to the Adventure Pool is the children's play area, which features pop-jet water fountains a shallow pool for small children and babies.
• Kids Club – An exciting 365 day-a-year program for children ages 4-12, celebrating the Essence of Arizona through activities, crafts, and a splash in the pool.

• Arizona S’mores Roasting- Around the Kierland Kampfire providing families the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind from their busy day of swimming, shopping, and sight-seeing.

• Kids Pajama Party- Parent's may enjoy a guilt free night out while the kids are entertained and supervised by the Resort Activities Team. Kids are invited to come dressed in their favorite cozy pajamas and slippers. Activities include, arts & crafts, games, and dinner, and a movie too!
5:30pm - 9:30pm with Dinner $50 per child

• Pumpkinville – kids-only playground, named for one of the early suggested names for the city of Phoenix. The fully-equipped playground is shaded against the Arizona sun for hours of fun and offers slides, jungle gyms and more.

• Kids in the Kitchen - the area’s first interactive culinary program in which kids get to don “chef’s whites” and work with the resort’s expert culinary team. Designed for children between ages 5 and 10 (although all ages are welcome), this two-hour program covers all areas of the culinary process from start to finish: safety, cleanliness, cooking/baking and, of course, the consumption of a product from a job well-done. The session also includes a tour of the many kitchens inside the resort as well as other “back of the house” locations.
