THE OK CORRAL
The fire pit at the OK Corral is the place to be for ?Kierland Kampfires? featuring Arizona S?mores, and a seating area with tables and open space offers the opportunity for activities and events with the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa FUN team such as water balloon games, hula hoop contests, limbo, relay races and much more!
The Resort’s OK Corral is named after the site of one of the most infamous events in Old West history. In 1881, in Tombstone, Arizona, lawman Wyatt Earp joined with his brothers Virgil and Morgan and friend Doc Holliday to face off against a loose-knit band of Cochise County cattle rustlers that included Ike and Billy Clanton and Tom and Frank McLaury. The 30-second shootout still leaves historians and Old West buffs debating the details of the notorious feud.

THE WESTIN KIERLAND’S DIGITAL KIDS CLUB
The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa’s Digital Kids Club seasonal program was developed specifically for one of the most difficult age groups to entertain, “tweens” – ages 8 through 13. The Digital Kids Club, as part of the Resort’s FUN Program, features individual sessions, as well as unique 5-day digitally-based camps during the summer: Stop Motion Animation, Computer Video Game Design, Produce Your Own Morning Show, and Media Madness! Budding movie directors capture footage and experiment with special effects, video game enthusiasts learn about design and creation, inspired news anchors experience the world of reporting, and creative juices flow from learning animation and comic book design! Kids will make their own creation with video and digital photographs, experimenting with special effects and music to create their very own video on a USB drive to take home as a unique souvenir and memory of their family vacation.
Guests of all ages will enjoy the 60-minute interactive Desert Connections program where they are introduced to the animal life of the desert. This Phoenix Zoo presentation includes discussions about camouflage, nocturnal vs. diurnal, habitats and food and water conservation.
Phoenix Zoo Presentations occur every Saturday from Memorial Day through Labor Day as well as major holiday weekends.
