Continuing its celebration of the important contributions that Scottish immigrants made to early Arizona, The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa has launched The Scotch Library, which provides both aficionados and those new to Scotch with the opportunity to select from over 250 different labels.
Representing more than half of the operating distilleries in Scotland today, the impressive collection features more than 175 single malts, 30 blends, and a number of rare bottles imported from all six whisky regions of Scotland (Speyside, Highland, Islay, Islands, Lowland and Campbeltown).
Those rare bottles include whiskies from “active” distillers, those which are still operating but have limited quantities of whisky as well as “silent” Scotch whiskies, which are from a distillery that still exists but no longer produces whisky. Among the most rare whiskies offered at The Scotch Library are those lost labels, which come from a distillery that is no longer standing.
Rounding out our exceptional collection are 3 super-limited vintage single malts:
- Glenfiddich 50
- Balvenie 50
- Macallan 62
Assisting guests with selections are Scotch Library Ambassadors, who are experts in the area of single malt and blend whiskies from Scotland. Not only are the Ambassadors passionate Scotch consumers themselves, but they have received extensive training to prepare them for their role as ambassadors. Served in two-ounce pours, the offerings are priced from $12 per serving to $475 per serving for the Royal Salute 62 Gun Salute, a limited edition ultra-premium blend from Pernod Ricard that is named for the 62 gun salute fired for royal anniversaries.
The Scotch Library is open from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. nightly.
