deseo
deseo – meaning desire in Spanish – showcases Contemporary Latin cuisine, a pairing of traditional Latin American ingredients and contemporary culinary style to create unique, fresh and flavorful dishes that include a range of mouthwatering ceviches, grilled and roasted fish and shellfish, and a selection of skillfully prepared meats all with tantalizing South American-inspired marinades, sauces and sides. Complementing the menu is deseo’s extensive list of South American wines.

In 1999, Garcia-Miranda came to Phoenix after seeking political exile from his homeland. Since his arrival in this country, the displacement has made him more aware of his Cuban heritage or “cubanidad” and its expression in his art. He is committed to creating artwork that celebrates Cuban culture and heritage by combining his personal experiences in a style called “cubanidad”.
Nelson Garcia-Miranda’s work has also been exhibited in Havana, the Czech Republic, Ecuador, Spain, and the U.S. and can currently be found in art collections in more than 20 countries including Italy, Germany, France, Argentina and Japan.
